The Spasticity Management Clinic

Spasticity is an abnormal tightness of the muscles, often associated with muscle spasms. It can be congenital (cerebral palsy) or secondary to a disease process (stroke or multiple sclerosis). We treat those patients who are impaired by the muscle tightness or having pain and a decrease in quality of life. We do this by way of oral medications, baclofen pump and rehabilitation, as well as Botox injections.

A Key to Therapeutic Success

Spasticity management is important at any degree of severity. Receiving treatment early, before muscles atrophy, is a critical factor in achieving mobility, range of motion, and other short- and long-term successes.
